Deadlock naît en 1997 lorsque Tobias Graf, Sebastian Reichl et Johannes Prem fondent le groupe qui à l'époque joue du death metal dur.
Plus tard il évoluera vers le melodic death metal.
La disco compte six albums, le dernier en 2013, The Arsonist (Napalm Records).
Ende April 2014 verließ Gründungsmitglied und Drummer Tobias Graf die Band, le batteur décède quelques mois plus tard!
