I grew up in rural Virginia. My parents are farmers, and we all loved music. I started playing when I was young, but I never really thought it would be a career.

Après le collège j'ai mis le cap sur L A, des gens ont entendu mes compositions, j'ai été payée pour jouer, je me suis dit, bon je me lance!
En 2015, paraît un premier album, 'I'll be your man' , on ne peut affirmer que ce fut en pensant aux Black Keys.
Elle signe chez Sub Pop qui sort trois disques, le dernier 'Altogether Stranger' est relativement récent ( mai 2025) .
