Saxophonist Raphael Ravenscroft died of a suspected heart attack at the age of 60

Raphael Ravenscroft serait un session musician anonyme s'il n'avait pas joué le fameux moody riff sur 'Baker Street' de Gerry Rafferty.
Pour la petite histoire: Raphael Ravenscroft was paid just £27.50 for the original recording, but went on to make thousands of pounds in royalties
Ce  sax player doué s'entend également sur des titres de Pink Floyd ( sur l'album The Final Cut)  , Daft Punk, Abba, America, Marvin Gaye, Robert Plant, Bonnie Tyler, Chris Rea, Kim Carnes, Duffy, etc...
En 1979 il a sorti un album sous son nom, 'Her Father Didn’t Like Me Anyway'.
 On lui doit également des soundtracks et des musiques de fond pour pubs!
