Bassist Billy Rath ( Johnny Thunders and the Heartbreakers) dies!

C'est en 1976 que Billy Rath, en remplaçant Richard Hell ( qui fonde  Richard Hell and the Voidoids), devient le bassiste de Johnny Thunders and the Heartbreakers, un an avant la sortie du seul album légitime du punk rock combo ' L.A.M.F.'.
Le 'Live at Max's Kansas City' sera mieux reçu  que ' L.A.M.F.' whose recording was of poor quality.
En 1985, Billy Rath quitte le groupe pour changer de carrière, il obtient un degree en psychologie et devient counselor, aidant ceux qui comme lui ont souffert de alcohol/drug addiction.
Il réapparaît sur la scène musicale en 2010 avec les Street Pirates.
Il s'est éteint récemment à l'âge de 66 ans.
